I went in to get insurance and Courtney helped me and my mom. She was awesome! Very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely come back and do business with her again.
Customer service agent didn't seem interested to help out with options on insurance. I had to educate them on few of the optional coverages and get the insurance. The attitude was unacceptable.
On April 1 2020 due to Covid Sussex insurance was doing renewals over the phone, so I called around 5 pm and talked to a lady named “Jessica “. First I will tell you that I am on a payment plan with ICBC so the broker has to call and get an override before I can get insurance. So talking to Jessica, I tell her I want a permit for 15 days. She says she will call me back after she gets the override from ICBC. She did not call me back that day - so I assumed she could not get through to ICBC and she would deal with it the following morning. I didn’t have a problem with that , especially with everything going on in the world. Also, these guys (Sussex/Jessica) are working from home and are probably really busy- totally understand. She called me back the following day and tells me she has a couple clients to deal with but will call ICBC after to get the override. She called me back about 6 hours later, telling me that ICBC wants to talk to me. Assuming it has to do with my monthly payment I told her no problem and called ICBC. After sitting on hold for 3 hours, I talked to a very nice man that tells me they did not need to talk to me and there is a note on my file with special instructions to grant the override ... so either Jessica lied or she doesn’t know how to do her job. I call Jessica back and she says “ok I will call ICBC back” ( she is seeming to be put out for having to do her job ). I wait all day - and again she does not call me back. She emailed me the following morning asking if I still want the permit.... At this point I am pretty fed up, we are going on Day 3 of trying to get a permit. I said screw it and called Johnston Meier in Pitt meadows - I tell them what I need , they call me back in 5 minutes with the permit ready to go - no problem.
12/01/2020 - I came in 15 minutes before closing because my work schedule only allowed me to make it at that time. I apologized for being a last minute customer multiple times to the lady working tonight, as I also work in customer service, and understand the frustration. However, the lady helping me did not give a care each time I apologized and would give me a death stare whenever I mentioned how I felt bad or sorry for the inconvenience. I understand it is unpleasant to have a last minute walk-in but she did not have to be as rude as she was. I would go to any other insurance place before returning here ever again. I hope the employee can be reminded of what proper customer service is, as it makes this business look bad. Would give negative stars if possiblefor the experience I had. ***UPDATE 02/01/2021*** Turns out the lady that did my insurance that night did not even transfer my vehicle over correctly and I was pulled over by 2 cops tonight. You think they would hire competant people for a crucial job. This was a very frustrating situation. If management is reading this, I would most definitely like to be contacted.
