We have been here twice. The first time we were just driving by and Rod allowed us in at the gate for a tasting. Normally, it's reservations only, so make sure you call first. Tastings are very well managed. Rod brings you each tasting and explains the nuances of the varietal. Rod is super informed about wine, and David Girard varietals are different then our typical California ones. We joined the club yesterday and look forward to bringing friends next time.

Attended a small wedding here. Great atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Large property that is well taken care of and looks like it's making more improvements. The wedding ceremony section was perfect. Looked fantastic.I The reception area was beautiful witha dj that played the music at a volume you can actually have conversations in. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Had a couple of the wines and looked them both. The rose was my favorite. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Great outdoor seating for your tasting.
Beautiful, stunning venue!! I'm not a local by any means, but I've heard it's a hidden gem! That it is! I tasted some wines, and they were delicious! The reception area was very nice and the balcony was placed perfectly to get a view of the hills/mountains at sunset! The night of the wedding was a particularly beautiful sunset as well! Blessed to have been able to come to such a gorgeous place!
Being a Wine Club Member had its benefits at DGV. I can visit the vineyard open hours without an appointment; I can do wine tasting for free; I get a free tour and wine pairing with a guest per year; most important I get 20% off my purchases. Right now my favorite Summer wine is the 2017 Rose.
We have been a wine club member for several years now but had not taken the Winery tour and Cheese & Wine Pairing tour until this last Sunday. This is a very informative and enjoyable tour (given by the Tasting Room Manager Rod Gideons). Rod has always shown a great deal of class and when you pair that with his knowledge of the wines as well as the history of the area, what you get is a very enjoyable and informative time. Our tour started by being welcomed to the winery by being handed a glass of (what else) wine. An enjoyable tour of the winery in their Polaris ATV with various stops where Rod told the history of the area as well as pointing out the various grape varietals grown there. After returning to the Tasting Room, we were treated to a selection of 6 wines paired with cheeses and other culinary delights. You need a reservation for this tour and unless you are a club member there is a fee – but it is well worth the cost for an afternoon of fun. I highly recommend this tour as well as this Winery for high quality wines.
Gorgeous winery with delicious wines!
Had a private tasting with VIP members. Best experience of the wineries in the area! Definitely try the granache, & buy the Okei-San Syrah! We shipped a case of various reds home! Love the wines here!
