I really can't tell you about the quality of their wine since we weren't allowed to sample any of their wines. We visited in the middle of March. I was with my wife, son and daughter-in-law and their 4 month old baby that was sound asleep in his car seat. They told us we couldn't stay and sample because we had a "minor." I thought the person was joking but she wasn't. So we left and spent our money at the Boeger Winery located close by. They didn't have a problem with our 4 month old grandson (who was still asleep.) We complained to the local chamber of commerce who then contacted the winery. The winery responded that they believe that the "experience" should be for 21 and over to "insure" their guests have the best tasting. A guess a four month old sleeping infant (minor) was a threat to their "experience." California wine snobs at their best.

I LOVE THIS WINERY! I've been to wineries all over the world, and this place has it all! The grounds are expansive & beautiful. There's walking/hiking trails, a lake with Gazebo and a beautiful outside tasting area (and much more). Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our visit special. They have a wide variety of wines (many are Rhone), something for everyone! We especially loved the Hope Rising, the Rose, Viognier and Roussanne, which is unusual because my husband is a red lover. The food is fantastic! We unfortunately didn't have time for lunch but did have a beautiful & delicious cheese plate. The Covid-19 protocol is very good and made us feel comfortable and safe. If you are going to Tahoe or in the Placerville area (even if you aren't), you must try this Winery! Ask for Anna. She is sweet, knowledgeable and a whole lot of fun. I also loved that she suggested food pairings/dishes that would go with each wine we tried!

We made a reservation for a wine tasting on August 31st. We had a wonderful time. Peggy our hostess was amazing! Super knowledgeable. We fell in love with the wines! They are hands down some of the best in the area. We can’t say enough great things! So we became wine club members!! Can’t wait to come back!

Love this winery. The service has been excellent, every wine we have had is fantastic, and the grounds are beautiful. We signed up for the wine club and are looking forward to visiting a lot more.

I don’t know. I want to love this place but attitude and customer service is harsh. Don’t get me wrong I love a server with a character but these people are poorly trained. You can order food with a wine tasting but not a wine tasting with lunch. We were told they couldn’t make accommodations because it might mix up the staff. So 5 stars for the overall concept, the place is beautiful and the wines are good. 2 stars for the friendly but poorly trained staff.

Lovely grounds, decent covid precautions. We were definitely rushed out of our wine tasting at the end, plates were taken early, etc. Groups less than 6 only and lunch reservations are different than tasting reservations.
