Horrible Place, not professional and the way they handle the children is extremely sub-par. not to mention Dustin Bailey who is very rude. look somewhere else. Do not bring your kids here

The educational program here is fantastic and Dustin who oversees the educational component is caring and compassionate person who works really hard. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the residential component. Staff failed my son in multiple incidents. They failed to bring him to a much needed dentist appointment on March 3rd prior to the shelter in place order that may cost him some of his teeth. Being someone on the spectrum who can struggle with sudden changes they moved him from one house to another without my permission and after I asked them not to. On March 19, 2020 my son went AWOL and staff was unaware that he had left at all even after I warned them days in advance that he was in danger of running away. He made it all the way to Red Hawk Casino and by chance the local sheriff found him as the casino was closed to the public. Staff was unaware he was even gone till the Sheriff brought him back to the group home. I removed him a few days after that incident. Staff was completely and utterly negligent with my son and if you are thinking about sending your child here or your school district offers you Summitview, ask to look at other group homes. Final note according to my son some staff at the home were not taking the pandemic seriously at the time and he was terrified of getting sick. No way to verify that last part but wouldn't surprise if it was true.

Witnessed three zealots employees mishandling a child and interfering with an advocate for the child. Someone independent needs to check them out.

Great place to work! Supportive leadership, incredible kids, and compassionate staff. A tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of children most in need.
