My wife and I interviewed numerous doulas and quickly connected with Nicki. She is down to earth and was clear that her practice is to be supportive of whatever our goals are, not hers. From beginning to end Nicki set us up for success. As a couple who are not from the area we had no knowledge of the local medical community nor did we have friends or family in the area. Nicki immediately recommended a great team to support us before, during, and after delivery. From our OB, pelvic floor PT, postpartum mom and dads support groups, lactation consultants, chiropractors and more. My wife had a great delivery with Nicki and I by her side. Nicki was great helping us prepare and create our preferences but also prepared us for the inevitable changes we could not foresee. After induction, during nursing shift changes, having Nicki there as our consistent support was crucial. When my wife was having back pains she was an experienced set of hands for repositioning and massaging. My wife reflects now that she was well prepared and we continue to have great support now six week after our son was born. We cannot thank Nicki enough for all she has done. She has given us a gift for which we could never repay her.

I genuinely don't know how I would have gotten through my birth experience without Nicki there to support me and my husband with the birth of our first baby! I experienced back labor and Nicki always seemed to know exactly where to put pressure or heat on my back while going through a contraction. She had so many encouraging ideas and made me feel confident in my decisions. She was our support before, during and after our baby was born. She was my cheerleader as I pushed and helped me get that first latch just right while feeding my baby. I felt so much safer and more confident with her by my side. My husband felt relieved that he had someone there to help him know how to support me or be there while he took a breather. Nicki knows exactly what to say and how to say it when you need a laugh or you need support. I highly recommend her and will definitely ask her to be a part of my next birth experience if we have another baby one day!
I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Nicki! She brings such a calming energy which is exactly what I needed during the birth of my first child. It was so nice to be able to consult her prior to labor. During labor was readily available to talk through all the phases to better understand what my body was going through. This helped me feel comfortable staying home to labor as long as possible. At the hospital I felt at ease knowing she was there to make sure I had everything I needed. If you are looking for a doula I would absolutely recommend NIcki!
As first time parents it's difficult for us to convey to others how incredible having Nicki with us made the entire experience. When we look back at our pregnancy, labor and hospital stay, and the anxious first couple of weeks as new parents; knowing we had Nicki by our side was like a weight lifted off of our shoulders. Like any first time parents, we were overwhelmed by the choices ahead of us and wanted to make sure we gave ourselves the best chance of a positive and enjoyable experience. Nicki's experience and demeanor were a perfect fit for the help we needed. Throughout the pregnancy Nicki provided incredibly useful guidance which we used to confidently make the decisions ahead of us. She was always responsive to any questions we sent her way, and our meetings with her before the labor were incredibly beneficial in planning a labor we wanted. Even four months after the birth of our boy, my husband and I still look back and agree that finding Nicki was one of the best decision we could have made. Her advice ultimately helped us decide what type of birthing experience we wanted, and using that advice we made decisions that without a doubt made the entire experience amazing for us. My labor ended up being somewhat unconventional and longer than most. What could have turned into one of the nightmare stories I routinely hear from friends, ended up being the most incredible experience of our lives. Nicki deserves so much credit for making everything the amazing experience it was. I cannot recommend Nicki enough to both new and current parents who are expecting. Having someone on our side with her knowledge, experience, and demeanor was the best decision we made during pregnancy. We won't hesitate to call upon her again if and when we're fortunate enough to continue growing our family. Thanks Nicki for helping to make the birth of our first son one of the best memories of our lives!
I am so glad we used Nicki as our Doula for the birth of our daughter and would recommend her services to anyone having a baby. We chose to do a natural birth and took the Bradley birthing course in preparation for labor. Even with everything we learned in the Bradley class, I still did not feel fully prepared to have a baby! There’s so much information to understand and important decisions to make leading up to the event. Nicki has an incredible amount of experience in so many different birthing methods so we felt comfortable talking about our different options with her and we were more confident in the decisions we made because of it. She coached us through all the stages of labor...even giving up an entire night of sleep! She has a calming presence that especially helped reassure my husband and I had a sense of confidence and peace during labor that I don’t think I would have had without her by my side. We are forever grateful for her support in the beautiful birth of our baby girl.
