I LOVE THIS DOCTOR! Dr. Blessing is the greatest doctor you could ever ask for or want. I started seeing her after my primary care doctor told me that he was no longer taking Medicare about 2 years ago. I was so scared of what kind of care I might receive at such a late stage in my life. I can not tell you what a nightmare it is to try and find a doctor that not only takes Medicare, but one that is good as well. After calling 15 other offices (literally), I called my doctor and told him that I could not find anyone to see me. His staff told me to call Dr. Blessing. Why did he not tell me that to start with? I called her office, and I made an appointment straight away. I want everyone to know that Dr. Blessing, is hands down, the best p hysician I have ever met. She is a geriatric specialist. This means that not only does she care for older people, but she is specialized in doing so. She doesn't ship you off to a million specialists either. She takes care of all of your problems. I even brought my husband to her, and she was able to diagnosis him with dementia right away, as well as help me understand how to care for him at home. What a horrible disease! Here's another amazing thing - every single specialist in the Plano area knows who she is. There is not one doctor that I have met thus far, that doesn't know her, or at least know of her. It is well known by doctors and hospitals in the area, that everyone wants to have Dr. Blessing as their primary doctor. Please spread the word: There are not many doctors out there that care about seniors. Dr. Blessing does. She will not only care about you, she will fight to make sure your life is valued.

Dr. Blessing is a very kind and caring physician! I saw her last month and felt she spent time listening to my concerns and doing the proper tests that were needed. She treats you like a friend or a family member.....very easy to talk with and feel like she was listening. I would highly recommend Dr. Blessing.

Super sweet and caring. Treats you like family, but also maintains professionalism. I love that because I don't feel intimidated by her like I usually do with other doctors. She doesn't judge and is very empathetic. Really listens to you and treats you like an individual instead of generalizing. I feel comfortable with her knowing that she's actually treating me instead of using preconceived ideas and just applying to me like a lot of doctors do, you feel taken care of. Unlike other doctors who are nowhere to be found after they are done with you, she sometimes checks people out and even draws your blood. She is just so involved with her patients, and that so hard to find in doctors these days! Love her! Yeah sometimes wait is long, but every doctor's office has wait times and I would rather wait a long time to see a good doctor rather than be seen right away by a subpar doctor who thinks of me as money or a number rather than an individual!

As of 2/28/18, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE just respond on here...YES or NO...is Dr. Blessing's practice located on Avenue K, Plano still open and active? Too many posts are on here saying she is closed or can't get their medical records but NO DATES are listed on these comments/reviews. No one seems to be able to locate Dr. Blessing or answer this question. Please inform. Thanks for your help.

I usually don't write reviews, but I wanted to address some of the recent one-star reviews given to Dr. Blessing. I met with Dr. Blessing last week in a temporary office and learned that the roof of her usual office had begun caving in due to repairs being done on the building, and this ordeal had affected the phone lines as well. The address of her temporary location was posted in the windows of her old office; I had no trouble finding the office, and I was greeted warmly by Dr. Blessing and her staff despite the circumstances. While I sympathize with her patients that feel she ought to have had another doctor available when she herself was unable to be in her office and she had yet to find another office on short notice, I am not sure that many folks realize Dr. Blessing accepts more insurances than other doctors in Plano, and in a lot of cases (Medicare/Medicaid), there just ISN'T another doctor who will treat the patients that she will. Dr. Blessing is in this business because she cares about helping people, so I hope anyone reading the reviews about her \office being unavailable for a week\ will try to put that rare situation into context.
