My sweet baby brother was stillborn in December and they were so kind, very much appreciated in such a devastating time. They were very very generous. Always very welcoming, and they squeezed me in for a small last visit with my brother the day he went for cremation, even tho there wasn't a time slot available. Of course I wished for more time but that's not on the funeral home, no amount of time would have been enough :( To this day they've been so understanding with my questions and my occasional visits. Gave me the best experience I could have had in such a horrible time. Very kind people, each employee I spoke with was very kind.

My experience with Pleasant Valley was top notch to say the least! In the middle of a pandemic, being I was coming in from out of province, the service I received was nothing short of the best! Mark and his team were so accommodating from start to finish and beyond. In the event you find yourself needing these very difficult services, I would highly recommend Mark and his team.

Do not use this funeral home. If funds are tied up in the estate they refuse to process (cremate) the body until paid. Took me 10 or 11 days to have funds released. They left my loved one on ice until I paid in full.

My father had passed suddenly from covid related complications mid Jan, 2021. Mark was very patient with me regarding the fact that I was the only one able to make any final arrangements and the last remaining family member. He was conscientious of the fact that I was grieving, but also was poignant about the services available, when i was ready. Did not feel pressured to buy anything or pursue any wishes that weren't warranted. In fact, I had a couple of particular requests that they happened to meet faster than expected. Despite the over encumbrance they were facing from all the challenges related to covid for their own staff, providing funeral services to positive covid deaths like my father. They still made the effort to make sure I was taken care of and that my father was treated with dignity and respect. As odd as this is for me to make a review for a funeral home, the realities of which i'm still digesting, I do find solace in knowing I only had to go through this experience once. And if I had to again, I still would have chosen pleasant valley. However, I will make one criticism, there isn't any appropriate plots available. Which was a disappointment for me, as my dad and I had chosen decades ago that we would want to be buried together in this location. So if a plot and tombstone is what you're looking for, you might have to look elsewhere.

We recently had my Dads celebration of life with this home. Our experience was awesome! Staff were so considerate and helpful, compassionate and caring to our family. Big shout out to Jessica for all your help! Highly recommend this place and staff.
