It has been my surgery for nearly 40 years a few years back Mayflower Medical group took over, it is now not fit for purpose. You simply cannot contact them phone has been busy/engaged for 3 years and now they have just put a note on the door Surgery closed!!! The people of Plymouth have been left without a GP including the thousand of those who are vulnerable, it is shameful.

It is not the surgery? ...But Mayflower medical group have, abandoned the phones, done away with individual practice numbers, taped up letter boxes, locked the doors, no email facility, and uses a econsult system that is not fit for purpose as the first point call...Made 65 calls and guess what...Still could not get on a phone wait. Seems they have locked up shop and gone home. I respect its not he staff- Its the group has brought all the surgery into disrepute. Had a better conversation about medical problems with my refuse collectors that have not used covid as an excuse to not communicate. Do not fall for all the PR rubbish and self congratulatory articles on the Mayflower website...Patients are not part of the deal!

Seem to see a different doctor every time, but all been very good, never gone away without getting what I needed out of an appointment. Used to have issues with getting through on the phone to get an appointment, more recently it seems to be easier. I always got an appointment but have needed to redial (not joking) over 50 times to get through at the 8am opening, or have to queue outside the door at 8am to get one booked, not great to have to deal with all that when already ill. seems better now though, reception staff always helpful and polite even though the job must be non-stop for them. Option also there to use one of the other surgeries in the group if needed which I have never resorted to.

Can never get an appointment

Been trying to ring the past two weeks for an appointment for my 'check up' in order to have my repeate prescription, instead I have had no answer and I have left 3 voice mails with no response. I have even emailed with no response. I have now not had my tablets for a whole week! I never go Doctors when I am ill and when I need an appointment for a check up on medication I can't seem to get through or get an appointment, frustrating. Lucky I'm not having symptoms of a serious illness
