This is not aimed at this store. This review is for the DFS SW warehouse.... Bought a sofa from this showroom mainly as it’s promised before Christmas. Was called two weeks ago to arrange delivery early. Sold existing furniture only to be told 20 minutes before delivery was due my new sofa is still being manufactured. I was promised by the lady that it would be first on the transport 8/12 for delivery. I called customer service and asked for a substitute as we are sat on the floor. I was told that can be arranged and would be called back. I called again a few days later for an update as no calls received. I was promised a call back regarding an update, no calls received. I called again today and was glad to hear my sofa is in the warehouse! But the system is down so can’t arrange delivery. I did get a call back this time but only to be crushed to hear my available delivery is a week away, this is a day earlier that the original estimated delivery day of 17th. All round experience isn’t good enough, I was offered 35 back for the delivery I’d have preferred something comfortable to sit on.

The sofa is great and the sales team are fab, but the management truly let me down by making promises they could not deliver on which left me sitting on the floor for a week after he ensured me it would be delivered. They didn't call me to let me know it wouldn't be delivered on time and the manager didn't make any effort whatsoever to amend the problem or reach out to me to apologise for essentially lying to me to sell the product because they knew I wouldn't take it if it couldn't be delivered by a certain date. It is unprofessional to sell a product under false pretenses so I will not be shopping at dfs Plymouth again.

Bought a new sofa and two electric reclining chairs, ordered in January and due to Covid just received it. Looking good and the delivery went smoothly. Only recommendation I will give is the Eziglides, they were mentioned on ordering about these Eziglides that makes it easier to move your furniture, so we said yes but on arrival they were just plastic discs with peel off paper backs that stuck onto the parts of the frame that touched the floor. We were expecting something more solid and bolted on. For the price of the suite you would think this would be standard and would finish off the suite rather than leave the frame dig into the carpet. The Eaziglides were in a bucket of different sizes of these bits of plastic discs so not made to look special and for 20 discs they cost 74.00 pounds . On ringing DFS at Plympton the sales person Sam just gave the usual waffle and said they were Teflon, but they look cheap and look as if they will fall off pretty soon. So Not recommended.

I can only comment on my experience in the showroom today. Was greeted immediately by Paul the salesman who was super. Patient, informative and not pushy. The range of furniture is average but ok.having visited several furniture stores recently I can say that this was the most pleasant experience of them all. Update: the 3 stars are for the staff in the Plymouth Store. Delivery is appalling, after sales backup is very poor. I will never buy from DFS again
