This home is the best home I have worked in. Friendly atmosphere and truly home from home. Residents are well looked after and cared for. Residents enjoy regular outings and entertainment. There is always something going on to engage the residents. Brilliant staff who are always happy to help. Management very approachable and supportive. Best home in Plymouth!!!

Not a nice place to work. Kitchen staff be lucky to get break as workload too much. Place dirty. Only good comments are from staff . Management are rude.

I have worked at Durnsford Lodge for 7 months now and have felt welcomed and included since day 1. Our residents are happy, very well looked after and take part in fun activities everyday. I can honestly say I enjoy going to work. It is sad to read a negative & untrue review from someone, just because their time here didn’t work out.

Durnsford is such a fantastic, person-centered home which promotes dignity and respect for their residents. The homes staff are always so welcoming and can never be asked too much. The owner of Durnsford, Sue, is a remarkable lady who always has the residents best interest in mind. The home manager Rebecca has been extremely helpful, friendly and always at the end of the phone if there is every anything we need. Overall, Durnsford Lodge is full of diversity, kindness and importantly a passion for the care that they deliver.

My relative received end of life care in this home, I can honestly say the care she received was second to none. Nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. We were all made to feel welcome and hand absolutely no concerns that my relative was well looked after. Whenever I needed to talk to any member of the management including the Owner I was always well accommodated. I have worked and had relatives in various care homes and I have never known an Owner to work as hard and to be as dedicated as the one at Durnsford. It saddens me to read some of these reviews at is clearly disgruntled ex member of staff. I have not one bad word to say about Durnsford and on behalf of myself and my family we would like to say a massive thank you for all your hard work not only for my relative but for all your residents. Best home I have ever had the pleasure to be in!!!!!
