I would probably not choose to dine here had it not been part of the Future hotel. The menu is somewhat limited for those with dietary requirements, but it does have options. There was quite a long wait for a table, even though the restaurant was quiet - something relating to reduced kitchen staff, however this happened for both my visits to the Fishbone. Food was well presented, & staff were a bit of a mixed bunch, but pleasant enough. & The food hit the spot after a long day travelling.
Reserved a table for 1930 and took 10 minutes to be seen to be seated then another 30 minutes for a drinks and food order which then took another 30 minutes for our soup starter to come out which wasn't that good, then another 45 minutes for our steak and ales pies to come out, that's if you can even call it a pie with a bit of meat and gravy in a bowl with some puff pastry placed on top. Definitely would not recommend
Nice restaurant, good food staff very friendly
Poor quality food at a very inflated price. I had the beef salad (I ordered the duck but it took them 15 mins to realise they didn't have any), which was just some lettuce, tomato and onion with some beef plonked on top... For 14.95! Avoid if possible...
