Good points: the price is very fair compared to the alternatives. There are weekly cleaners included in the price who are very good at their jobs. The rooms are small, but very comfortable, and each one has its own sink and mirror. Security is taken seriously. Very close to the university buildings, only a few minutes away from supermarkets, clubs, town centre, etc. Bad points: not enough fridge space for six people. Furniture is cheap, and breaks too easily. Overall this is a decent place to live.

Recently refurbished Plymouth Uni halls. Amongst the cheapest the Uni offers at less than 100 a week. Very close to the campus & student services. It's cheap because a flat of 6 shares a toilet, shower & kitchen. However, cleaners come in once a week to clean the shared facilities. Doors locked with electronic card type key. Good value.

Halls of Residence where my son stayed for his first year at Plymouth University. The rooms are small and cell-like but the rent includes a weekly cleaner and the location is fantastic for the University. Also great for shops, lugs and clubs.

Simple and cosy. Lovely caretakers and conveniently 3 minutes away from the university and Drake Circus/ City Centre.

Fire alarm drill at 7am for no reason. Oven with the controls rubbed off so no idea how hot it is. Awful old mattress. I’m counting down the weeks until I can move out...
