Staff at front desk are wonderful and friendly. Explained that my son had a Navy PJFT appointment any chance of doing it earlier as my wife was sat at hospital having chemo, young lady ran around organising it for us, sure no problem, just wait in a side room, should only be a 15 to 20 minutes. If only, the instructor, Dan, sat in a staff room, less than 1 metre from where we were sat and waited until appointment time, no earlier, so we waited 45 minutes for nothing. Why not just be honest and say you are not going to do it? So my wife then had to wait an hour to be collected after treatment. On this basis I would not recommend.

Excellent gym, friendly reception and pt's I met, lush jacuzzi and sauna, showers are nice and hot! only not a 5 star as the steam room could do with more steam, gym could do with some heavier kettlebells upto 30kg at least like most gyms and decent Reebok steps for doing exercises off instead of the cheap ones they have and most of all I got frustrated with playing the game "hunt for the 20kg plates" which took at least 5 mins off my workout as the plates in gym are such a mess both times I've been in to use the place. Would still choose this gym over budget gyms though. UPDATE: Having being diagnosed with an illness yrs ago which has had an detrimental effect on my hormones, I recently sought support and advice from the PT Alison Willis who has been amazing and so understanding and thorough with her lifestyle and nutritional advice being that she is a fully qualified nutritionist I have found her help invaluable and recommend her to anyone seeking to improve all aspects of their health and fitness

When you are a beautiful charming female member ,then all instructors are hovering around you leaving no stones un turned to make you fit.. while if you are male client, they would help you reluctantly ...The gym is always busy except the hours between 13-15 or very late at nights. The size also very uncomfortable given the number of members .The fee is very high given the variety of the equipment.I will never recommend it to any one.

Avoid avoid avoid. I agree with all negative comments I've read. It's like working out in a sauna, equipment is poorly maintained, PT's are sleazy, gym classes minimal and management team, right to HQ, who do not respond to feedback. Despite constantly asking for your comments they just get defensive. in general the chain is fine but not this one!

I am giving a two star rating because this place apart from having a shower after the work out offers nothing special than other gyms.First its very expensive ,second, some personal trainers ,not all, prefer to work out with ladies and hence show favoritism.I have seen this many times. Thirdly, the gym could be extremely busy and intolerable at times especially during early morning and early evenings. The pool and the Jacuzzi is always filled with at least 5...6 people unwilling to get out. Was a member for 8 months and got nothing. The receptionists in general are very well-mannered and professional .I do not recommend it in general.

I thought I'd give this gym a try after being recommended by friends, as I was in the area I managed to get a day pass. Not really knowing what to expect, as gyms can be hit or miss. I was greeted by friendly and courteous staff who were very helpful and even offered me a tour. I tend to find my own way and the staff were happy to allow me the freedom to do so, but made sure I found my bearings. The changing rooms were clean, but did have the typical boys changing rooms at school whiff about it. There's an abundance of space to get changed and plenty of lockers to stow your belongings in. I was impressed by the small luxuries like the spin dry machine for your wet clothes post-swim and hairdryers too (even though I'm bald). The gym itself is located on the upper floor, which I found to be surprisingly small and badly laid out. I can understand the need to maximise space but the equipment seems very jumbled around as well as being tightly packed together... which I can imagine can be a safety hazard when it's full to capacity. The equipment itself is generally good, however I was dubious of the leg press as it looked very old and another member warned me not to use it as it's rather 'rickety'... so I gratefully gave that a miss. Overall the gym is okay, but it does need rearranging into a better order with some serious consideration of h&s. Post-workout I headed to the pool, located on the ground floor, which also has jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The shower area was clean and tidy, and my only gripe here is that the water could do with being a bit hotter... But maybe that's because I like a near scalding water temp. Overall it's a good gym that's in need of a spruce-up and change around, but in saying that... I would use again.
