I was able to see the lighthouse and take pictures from the ferry (from Plymouth to Cawsand) by asking the captain to pass a little closer by the light. He was accommodative. It was a fun ferry as you had to offload/load by gangplank to/from the beach. That was unusual for a ferry. The small town was interesting and very photographic. At the time of the trip there was a Navy ship and submarine in harbor. They were moored behind the Breakwater. The ferry boarded nearby the Mayflower Steps. An historic place for American friends. The ferry itself was a nice somewhat older boat with nice wood paneling inside the cabin. It was a pleasurable trip.
