I registered for the library online from home and reserved two books for some university reading ready for next month. There's nothing like a head start! The service I received was second to none. The library handled social distancing and all other COVID-19 related protocol in the most effective manner imaginable, so much so that I saw people cleaning down the library surfaces prior to gaining entry. The service itself, was wonderful. I unfortunately didn't manage to catch the name of the librarian. She was so polite and helpful, got me sorted with my library card immediately and offered me to the self-service machines (via the one way system in place) so that I could take out my reserved books, both quickly and efficiently. I'm thankful for her showing me this service as it will make future visits much easier. The prime City Centre location of this library ensures that collection and depositing of books is quick and central to many locations. A great asset to our city, a place filled with knowledge and great reference material.

Another useless community project. Open during the week, but closed at the weekends. Great. Some people actually work during the week so this being completely closed at the weekend is just odd.

Normally I love going to the library today was rather different. Had a query on a reservation which was addressed by a nice lady who also signed out my book at her desk. On leaving I was bleeped and another lady, with green hair, rebuked me for not using the machine to sign the book out. Next time talk to the machine!
