Hi everyone. I suffer from mental health and regularly experience prejudice here ; hostile body language and un- friendly tones of voice and cold engagement. I'm regularly ' frosted ' by staff upon entry for goods and purchases ; ie ; they are v cold in response whenever i come in and never welcome / encourage my custom. The shop is really clean and well stocked with a good herb counter and good lighting and this i cannot fault. However, the regular type of attitude i get from one particular member of staff has caused me to share my experience today. The lady concerned i can only describe as being nonchalent, arrogant, and unhelpful. I clearly feel she does not want me in the shop, as i present as scruffy and unkept, this is because of my job and daily activities. Where this prejudice comes from i have no idea as there is no record of previous resentments other than regularly shopping here. I feel i'm perceoved as a threat / whatever , whenever i enter , and for no good reason , maybe Shopsmart Security Profiling ? God only knows. Truly saddened, and dissappointed.

Ideal for those seeking to go Vegetarian or Vegan Friendly knowledgeable staff Will take orders over the phone Compared to online supplers, their prices have remained the same as prior the lock down. Please support this local shop who have been operating in Plymouth for decades so that t we can all benefit from their very fair prices!

An absolute gem of a store. They stock a wide range of low sugar, wheat free products, & if you're not keen on artificial additives or just want to try a natural remedy or even just asking for some advice they're well worth a try.
Rickard-Lanes - probably one of Plymouth's best kept secrets. I only discovered it while on the hunt for psyllium husks, but they have the best range of vegan friendly products in Plymouth. Excellent, and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Excellent staff and lovely there is still a genuine apothecary with people who help effectively : )
