Lovely climb to the top. Inscribed on the walls within are words from the Bible which state " unless the Lord builds , they labour in vain who build" . This great nation was founded in solid Christian values.

Nice place to sit with lovely views and moving monuments. Ice creams and an old time cafe available (when open).

Great climb to the top. The steps are narrow and steep. Full of historical history, great view at the top even on a cloudy day. Adults cost 4 to climb and Children 2... Under 5s are free.

The best photo I have taken in years! It does not take much to capture a beautiful image. Unfortunately the Tower is temporarily closed but if you love photography you should not miss this place!

Up in the giddy heights of the Plymouth Hoe lighthouse, I stood by the candelabra in the lantern, looking out over sparkling Plymouth sound, thinking about the cramped and isolated life of a keeper that the friendly and informative guides had just described. Then I stepped outside into the wind and walked around, holding onto the little handrail for a breathtaking 360 of the city. Do come here if you like heights and can climb narrow ladders.

Amazing panoramic view. Oldest lighthouse in England. So far the best looking coastal city we have been too. Lots of attractions for children which is very important when travelling with a 4 yrs old.

Not surprisingly, brilliant views and very interesting to learn more about lighthouses and their keepers.
