We did a sour dough course here and we have not bought a loaf of dough since. Dragon and Mrs Dragon were brilliant explaining everything fully. The lunch provided was really tasty and the accomodation roomy and clean. Please try bread making here they are so knowledgeable.

Excellent course - loads of practical tips and guidance. Busy in a good way for 4 hours...preparing and baking. Tasty lunch and good conversation. As it happened on my day, I was the only student and did not feel awkward in any way. I thoroughly recommend. Plus you come home with an awful lot of bread!!

Right from the beginning we were made comfortable and welcomed. The time passed quickly as they taught us so much. Dragan and Penny are both experienced and excellent teachers. They have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for bread which they gladly share during the course. After learning about ancient flours, cooking techniques and hands on experience we highly recommend this gem of a baking school.

A really enjoyable day of sourdough bread making. It felt so relaxed but we covered so much and made so much bread! The lesson was pitched perfectly at our experience level with us both being guided in perfecting our bread making skills. The was no pre-prep so we got to undertake all the steps ourselves from start to finish. Having baked before I was looking to improve what I already knew, so it was really helpful to be shown how to recognise the mistakes I was making and how to adapt. Really happy to come away being able to bake sourdough with more consistent results. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Artisan Bakery School.

We did the rye & sourdough day course with Penny & Dragan and had a really great time. They were super friendly and excellent teachers and you'll get to make plenty of bread and learn a lot. The course was well structured so you get a feel for judging the dough across the various stages of preparation, and you leave with the bread you baked, a sourdough starter for future loaves, and the dough for the first loaf that you can bake at home. In short, it sets you up well to carry on practicing what you learnt. Highly recommended.
