Found this place on my daily exercise so thought I would give them a try, wow! What a find! It's a proper old school fish and chip shop. The shop and kitchen is spotlessly clean and the lady serving was very friendly and made me feel very welcome, now to the important part the food! I had a large cod and chips and a jumbo battered sausage, prices were reasonable 7 for the large cod and chips and 2 for the sausage, portions were spot on, the fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were lovely, they reminded me of chips i used to get as a child, I think they may use lard or dripping to cook them in but not sure. Everything was cooked to order so was lovely and fresh too. I will definitely be returning! Highly recommended
First time getting fish and chips from this business. We collected 2 haddock and chips, 2 fish cakes with mushy peas and curry sauce. Perfect sized portions, crispy chips, perfectly cooked fish in a nice and light batter and not greecy at all! As our order was over 15 they gave us free cans of drinks, really nice and welcoming staff. Highly recommend these guys for your takeaway!
Just had our first meal from The Fish And Chip Place and was very surprised at the quality and value of the meal. All the food was cooked fresh and was still very hot when we got it home.Very pleasant owners and lovely clean shop.I would highly recommend and will definitely be making this a regular takeaway.
I eat fish and chips quite a lot as I travel a fair bit with work. This is my favourite to go to in Plymouth and I've tried pretty much all of them. Fish is excellent and you get a good sized portion. Chips also very good! I think they are using marfona potatoes at the moment. The people that run the place are also lovely. Couldn't recommend this one enough.
Best chip shop around. As silly as it sounds, most chippys don't have very good chips. These do. Burger or sausage in batter is great and the curry sauce tastes like it should. I don't eat fish so I can't comment on that. Recommended
