Lovely pub, lovely staff. Owners are the biggest knob heads who have no idea how to run a public house. Sadly we see this again and again. People with lots of money who dont pay they're suppliers! Treat staff and locals like dirt. A complete stain on the industry. We can only hope the next owners might well have a clue as how to run a truly historically magnificent pub in a great village!

The management should claim the business on Google Maps and keep their pub updated here. My friend and I took a bus from Plymouth to come here and found it closed at 12:30pm on this Saturday 12 Sep. 2020 and the busses are only one an hour. Managment please have mor respect for customers and inform us here if you close or go on holiday. Not even a sign or apology outside saying if or when they may reopen.
This is such a wonderful old pub and modern restaurant. The pub has some incredibly lovely features including a log fire. It also allows dogs.. they have a playground outside for kids. The staff are friendly. It really is a lovely place which I would come back to any time.
Amazing place! Food quality is out of this world. People are very nice and friendly too.
