This little shop was one of my favourite finds on our first trip to the UK two years ago. The store owner is so lovely and really makes great conversation. They also happen to be the only shop where I can find my favourite English sweets - the chewy rhubarb and custard candy! When we returned this past September for a wedding, I knew this would need to be one of our stops! My only regret was not buying more of the rhubarb and custard chews as they didn't even make it back to Canada with me! The lemon meringue fudge is also work a try!! So delicious. We also buy their \thank you for watching our dog\ fudge packages for the lady who watches our dog while we are away. She said their clotted cream fudge is lovely. Such a great variety in a tiny little shop Wish we had more like it here.

I just went to this sweets shop yesterday for the first time. It is hidden in the corner of New Street, but there were many customers when I went there (probably because it's Easter holiday for kids?). It has a very retro feel. The shopkeeper was a very lovely lady and she told me the shop was opened 13 years ago but they never refurbished it which is why it looks so old! I also found that this shop might be the best place to get touristy postcards in Barbican.
Lovely selection of home made fudge. The usual varieties plus unusual ones such as dark chocolate and chili! Many old-fashioned sweets on sale, plus a range of Cornish biscuits. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Definitely a must visit! Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic selection of delicious fudge and other goodies. And a noteable plus for any small business, they take card, contactless and Apple Pay on transactions over 1. Will definitely be back!
