Great atmosphere, great customer service, great selection of games, great menu, overall great! Ordered vegan carrot cake which wasn’t the best but other than that everything else was great! Covid friendly with hand gels on each table.
Absolutely fabulous evening. Myself and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed our date night. The food was amazing and the selection of drinks was huge and the games library is immense. We had the 30 eat out to help out offer and there was plenty of food for both of us. Great atmosphere and perfect night. Get yourself to Twist folks!!
You guys have got yourselves a couple of regulars in the making! We love the vibe and comfort of your place, not to mention the amazing food and hilariously good time playing our favourite games. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing games, amazing people! Cannot praise you guys highly enough
Twist the "Board game Cafe" is a place I have been meaning to visit for months. When I heard of the concept for the place before opening I was excited, something new and exciting for Plymouth and finally seeing it my expectations have been more then met. Twist Cafe serves Coffee's and Tea's, have a variety of flavoured syrups and offer milk alternatives including Oat milk at No extra charge which is quite pleasantly unusual. They also serve a good selection of alcoholic drinks including Ciders, Beers, Ales and spirits intact the drink selection was much more extensive then I expected by far. I had a Caramel Latte which was very nice and a great partner to the podcast I was listening to. I was a little peckish so decided to have a slice of Carrot Cake which was nice and decently sized and tasty. The main attraction however is the HUNDREDS of board games you can play and I mean hundreds! Shelves full of them and apparently even more had hiding upstairs that I did not see. The board game goes from classics like versions of Monopoly (from classic to Mario Kart edition and more) to Catan, Dark Souls, Wingspan basically all the board games you can think of and so many more you have never heard of. This will be a perfect place to have a nice drink, play a game and just have a laugh the decor and atmosphere is nice and relaxed that is perfect to play some games. Will have to return with company to play some games can't wait to return to Twist .
The staff at twist are fantastic, really friendly and always have time for you (even when they are really busy!). Their huge range of board games is great, it means I get to try out new board games before buying them and there's always a game to suit my mood. Also the pizzas are really tasty! Going to twist is one of my favourite days out.
We had a great evening here on Wednesday 19th August for the Eat Out To Help Out deal. The food was incredible, and as usual we discovered some new games to play. Social distancing was in place, and we felt completely safe. We particularly loved the Nachos - we’ll be back soon for a weekend lunch! Thank you to Hayley and the team for welcoming us back. Our evening with you was the most ‘normal’ we’ve felt in a long time!
Had a great afternoon at Twist, great selection of games many to choose from with a good range of difficulty level. Fun for all ages and group sizes. Staff very friendly and super welcoming. Can't wait to go back!!
