As a first time guitar buyer, I knew I should've probably waited until quarantine was over to try out some guitars in a local store. Boredom and an eagerness to start learning got a hold of me. I was first disappointed when I received my guitar, loose in a regular box with copious amounts of bubble wrap and nothing else. A box with information about the product and instructions is usually the norm and adds to the experience. Now my technical terms may not be on point here but I think the gist will be understood. The High E nut slot was either cut too deep or too wide I believe the latter since when plucked, it sounded more akin to a sitar than a guitar. I've had to to settle for a quick fix which is a piece of paper in the nut slot to mute the buzz a bit. Apart from these 2 issues, it was shipped incredibly swiftly and obviously the bubble wrap was enough to prevent any damage during transit, over all it was a positive experience. Being a distribution centre rather than a store, I'd hazard a guess that PMT Liverpool is where a lot of orders will be fulfilled, in the North West at least. So maybe consider if you're ordering online, this is likely where your guitar/other products will come from. Hopefully my experience can help better inform your opinion.

Ordered a Bose system late friday night and it was delivered by 10am Sunday so my experience was good only thing didnt get an email confirmation of sale.. but all arrived fast and packaged well also it was best price I found on the net with the black friday sale discount
Knocking a star off because the 'new' epiphone LP guitar they shipped me had no box and was missing accessories, tags and paperwork. Guitar arrived wrapped in bubble wrap in a generic rectangular box. It has pickup stickers still on but other retail stickers have been removed. It is in good condition but I would have liked it in the proper box and not already opened and played.
Just had a 90 miles round trip, including 4 spend on the Runcorn Toll Bridge to visit their store in Liverpool as advertised on their website (see attached image). Turns out when I arrive there is no store at this address and it is in fact a warehouse/headquarters. Will be spending money somewhere else. The guy who I spoke to didn't even apologise for their misleading website. Clearly they are a repository of incompetence and quite literally make zero apologies for this. I would recommend spending you money somewhere else, because god knows how dire their after sales service must be. Most irritated that they have wasted a morning of my holidays.
can not fault there customer service. The electronic drum kit i ordered was out of stock and it would have been a month until delivery. We couldn't wait that long so Paolo found me another (slightly better) for the same price and arranged for it to be shipped next day. Fantastic customer service and care. Can not fault this companies care ... an attribute forgotten by many companies. Highly recommended. Jodie (Nottingham)
