Susan clearly is an expert in riding, instruction, and caring for the horses. The views are lovely.

One of the best riding options in the Bay Area, not to be missed! I am an experienced rider and have ridden for years, I like to ride with Susan and her horses for both the Tamales Bay ride which goes up a nice hillside trail with a nice variation in terrain, and at the top there are amazing views of the bay and surrounding area. I also like to do the longer forest trail rides, and I always take my friends and visitors that want to try riding to Susan. Her horses are the absolute best \bomb proof\ horses and I have ridden all over the world. Susan is a true horse whisperer and I trust her 100% with myself and the friends and family I have taken to ride with her. The area is stunning for beauty and Point Reyes is a wonderful little tiny town that is super fun to go have a drink or bite to eat after riding. There is also the oyster farms up the road and a Meadery across the road and Winery just up the road. All around going riding with Susan and then spending the day in Point Reyes is one of my number one top local things to do for a weekend. Come with a sense of adventure, be sure to wear your sunscreen, and you will have the best time ever! Susan is also really awesome with working with different levels so I can bring my friends that have never ridden but I too can also do a few canters and get to ride in a way that fits for my experience.
Instructor was horribly rude. We were very clear about our limited experience yet she berated two of us when the horses acted up. She was very unkind and pompous and I do not recommend going here. UPDATE: Response below says I came with a 12 year old - or perhaps that I am 12? I came with 3 of my friends, all of us in our late 20s. That photo is not of us. I think as you can see in the instructors response that she is not gracious or welcoming for beginners and I do not recommend going here, whether you're 12 or 27.
Easily the best trail riding avail in the Bay Area. Other places only allow for nose to tail walking, but the horses here are so well trained and beginners learn how to communicate with their horse and there is opportunity to do some trotting (and cantering too if you have some riding experience). Much more exciting and interactive than your usual horseback trail ride!
Point Reyes Arabian Adventures is the greatest place to go riding in the Bay Area and is most definately worth a visit. The trail guide, Susan, is a very charming person who is knowledgeable about the area, and whose equine expertise know no bounds. Whether or not you are a Novice, or experienced rider, Susan will tailor the ride to your needs. With plenty of canter time (when suitable) for experienced riders, and instruction for beginners.
