We had our wedding at Poland Spring Resort. It was the most memorable, amazing night ever. They put out my decorations exactly as I wanted. Cyndi and the staff are awesome. It was a weekend I will never forget!

You come here for a flavour of different times, of things that have disappeared. I find very exclusive, in the sense that I would never cross any of the people I see here elsewhere. Nothing is here the best or most modern, but it's a one-of-a-kind experience. Where else in the East Coast will you ever hear the national anthem sung before bingo night? Or lobster dinners once a week that you can just get with a prepaid voucher? Make sure you check out the different buildings and room categories before you choose.
We happened upon this hidden gem sort of by accident. After a day in Acadia National Park, our next main stop was in New Hampshire, and Poland Spring was the most convenient overnight spot along the way. Upon arriving, the first thing we noticed were all the Christmas decorations...in October. Then we realized everyone was dressed in Halloween costumes. Turns out, there is an annual weekend event with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve all in 4 days! Sadly, we arrived late in the evening and were leaving first thing the next morning, so we didn't get to enjoy much, except the "Christmas Morning" breakfast. The room was decent...hallways definitely feel and smell like an old building. The main building has a game room, library, and more, and the complex offers golf, pool, tennis courts, and much more, providing ample fun for everyone, and would be a great place for a big family weekend. Next time though the area, we will definitely stay there again.
Rustic, beautiful and rich with history, this resort has a lot of perks. My family and I had the pleasure of staying in Hiram Riccar's cottage which boasts 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Perfect for me and my husband, the kids and my in laws. Completely wheelchair accessible, with a roll in shower to boot. Everyone of the staff I came into contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. I am not a golfer, but a beautiful, well maintained golf course overlooks the mountains and there is an olympic sized swimming pool that my family enjoyed daily. There is plenty of activities to do on the grounds and off the grounds as well. 15 minutes away is the Maine wildlife place and grocery stores and walmart are all within 20 minutes. The cottage did not have a stove, but there was a brand new grill outside. It is rustic... There is a small box television in the living room.. But it was so nice to cut ourselves off from electronics for the week and connect with our family. I will absolutely be taking my family here again, this was a great vacation!
World class golf course made by Arthur Fenn and Donald Ross.
Bicycling the Northern Tier, first day heading west from the coast. So glad the Lodge is here. Nice room, friendly staff, good value.
Expert service, comfortable and consistant with vintage accommodations.
Prettiest view of any hotel I've stayed
