The I O C petrol bunk is located along the right side of Pollachi - Valparai road, before 4 kms to the Azhiyar dam park entrance.{dam junction}. Petrol & diesel are available. There are toilet(old fashioned) and air checking facilities. The bunk has a small roof just to cover the Filling Units from sun and light rains. Drinking water is kept in a plastic pot; and those who are bent on getting water can use it. {It is really amazing to note that a bunk of a leading corporation of India and that too, located in front of a dam, fails to meet the essential requirement of providing pure drinking water to the customers /commuters using modern devices}. However for those commuters who go to Attakatty, Valparai etc and those who had no ample stock of petrol in their vehicles' tank can very well utilise the services of this bunk. (6/19)

music Every word has been selected because it tells us something about how the English tongue came about. He says it is a personal list – yours could be different. ROE (fifth century) In the summer of 1929 archaeologists began to excavate the area of the Roman town of Venta Icenorum, about three miles south of Norwich. During the excavation they discovered a linguistic prize. Among a pile of sheep knuckle bones was an ankle bone from a roe deer. And on one side of the bone were carved six runic letters which when turned into the Latin alphabet produced the word RAIHAN which means “from a roe”

Pin this petrol/diesel station in you map. Why? If your are on a trip to Valparai and you miss this station then the next station is on top of the hills, that is about 40km from this station. Also you have to pass around 14 hairpin bends to reach uphill. That itself will empty your tank before you reach the top. So never miss this pump.
