Very traditional homemade taste of Goan saraswat cuisine with fresh ingredients. But I found the portion size of the thali to be rather small for the price.

Located few blocks away from ShantaDurga Temple this small home run eatery ,has no frills of restaurants. It has two to three tables in the verandah of the house. But what makes it special is the quality and quantity of sea food. You get the homely feeling right from beginning. The sea food was fresh and the king fish thali had prawns curry along with oyster (suke).. We reached around 2.00 and the host served us fresh fry fish and prawns within 30 minutes. Taste was awesome and the price was nominal.Full points to this eatery in Ponda. Please give a call to the owner before arrival to avoid inconvenience. You will love the taste and homely ambience

This is actually a home belonging to the Naik family. The entrance verandah of the house doubles up as a dining area during Lunch and Dinner. Their Goan seafood preparations are amazingly delicious. Prawns curry and sol kadhi (Konkani drink prepared from Kokum) are just too good. The food is homemade and is freshly prepared. They serve vegetarian thalis as well. The Naik family has been running this place since 15 years. A must visit when you're anywhere near Ponda, South Goa.
