Very decent rawon and jenganan sets. Personally, these are their best offerings. Lontong is really average. You're better off at Wak Nakem Marine Terrace if this is your thing. I'm a recent convert. One of the better ones. Value for money plus the service is pretty prompt thanks to the 2 servers. Queue can be pretty long because like me orders are for the whole household.

The present stall owners are descendants of the original Lorong Engku Aman stall owners from the olden days of Geylang Serai district . I used to patronised them during my kampong days . My personal favourite is Nasi Rawan though , trust me , other dishes like Nasi Ambeng , Nasi Sambal Goreng and Nasi Jengganan are equally delicious . These are almost authentic , true to the taste of Javanese cuisine which has travelled to our shores fortunately though may have been slightly fine tuned to local taste . I've tried a number of Nasi Rawan stall elsewhere but Pondok Wak Nah pique my taste buds . The buah keluak is the first flavour in the first bite . It is a generously used main ingredient in the lauk rawan . The sambal tumis sotong kering is to die for . I've always asked for double portion . Bite size potato cutlets ( begedil ) and paru . Other condiments are available too like telor dada , achar timun , serunding and lastly the" all star must have" sambal belachan . Sets are sold at four dollars unless other condiments added . Heartland pricing . Expect long queue during weekends . Average waiting time 10 to 15 minutes . Business hours starts 630am till late afternoon Enjoy !

Had their Nasi Rawon and Nasi Ambeng, it was alright. The gravy was slightly diluted and everything else was okay (not amazing). The queue is kinda long but definitely affordable.

This place is awesome. For 5SGD you get a wholesome meal. Although it is not the best , the quantity and price made up for it . I'm most impressed by its tempeh even though I'm not tempeh person. It has a nice grilled taste to it . The cuttlefish and paru have good favour to it. Rice soak with beef gravy and beef bits are a good soft compliment to the impressive assortment of sides. The ladies at the stall are very friendly and helpful. The reasons it was not 5 stars because it does not took my breath away. It is good but not over the top good.

The rice sets are pretty good or what locals call nasi padang. For mornings, I always have their Lontong which are pieces of rice cakes with long beans, fired coconut flesh shavings (locals call it ‘seron deng’), one boil chicken egg in a rich coconut broth with spices. Topped up with a sweet spicy chill pasty sauce. Best of all it cost 3 local bucks & it taste so good. Oh this Lontong entrée includes a piece of a fried taukua which is fried soya bean curd Service is generally good. 3 elderly ladies mostly man this local hawker food stall.
