Absolutely beautiful! A definite must for anyone visiting Sao Miguel. Entry is not well marked out - one of the main gates was opened when we visited, so we let ourselves in (no doors were locked - so we assumed it was OK to enter).

Enquanto que a primeira está localizada na ilha de São Miguel, importa esclarecer, por outro lado, que o concelho da Praia da Vitória se situa na ilha Terceira, igualmente integrante do arquipélago dos Açores.
