Quite a nice spot in Pontresina with quick access to the xc loipen. The hotel was refurbished in 1970 and is in well condition catering for children and adults. Beds are very comfortable. I liked the fireplace by the bar and the wellness area very much! Breakfast spread is solid, however no poached eggs part of the selection. The service at bf appeared a bit hectic and I perceived it as stressed. Instead of a good morning you get a rough "hallo" and a direct "Kaffee oder Tee". No open questions asked, no guest interaction wanted.. Overall not as friendly as I am used to in the Engadin. staff was rather avoiding eye contact with guests or was looking away. Probably due to the high season buzz. However, overall I would come back, the front desk and the GM are super welcoming!
Could talk about all the great stuff, friendly staff and so on.... but also... they have fantastic sour dough bread
Just a wonderful hotel! It is very well situated in the middle of Pontresina on the main street (which is mostly pedestrians). The room was large with a seating corner, with a modern bathroom with separate toilet and a good view. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and in the evenings there is a very nice bar with a great selection of drinks. And the best part is the service - everybody was being just wonderful and very helpful; indeed like staying with friends (the hotel's motto). Highly recommended!
Nice hotel but rooms need to be updated. Due to time restraint unable to try the pool..but it looked ok.. Food was great

Very friendly staff and quite accommodating for a young family. The rooms were clean and well taken care albeit old but that gave a very retro feel to the hotel. The hotel's location is fabulous as it is situated right downtown Pontrasina. The breakfast was lovely, swimming pool great, and spa very nice. Looking forward to staying there again.
