The fine iron gates at the entrance to the park were constructed in 1835 as part of a series of improvements to Pontypool Park.carried out for Capel Hanbury Leigh. The gates were designed by a local engineer Thomas Deakin. Only 4 stars as they need some work carrying out to restore them!
