Picking your child’s first school is incredibly difficult, there is so much competition and if you aren’t careful you are being led by the masses to the popular school. We thought long and hard about what was right for our daughter and made the decision that a small private school was right for her. We didn’t plan to pay for her education but equally we didn’t want to regret this critical decision that (aside from learning) will have such a big impact on defining her character, building friendships, developing values etc. She has been given a personalized education allowing her to grow and be encouraged in ways that a bigger school wouldn’t have ever been able to offer. She has become the model daughter and we couldnt be more proud. We have sent our other two children to the same school and they have received the same, “a tailored education”. All three are given a slightly different education because each child is unique. My children know every child in the school, they are friends with the oldest and youngest. Every teacher knows every child, they know each of their personalities and every child knows every teacher. You couldn’t ask for a more personal, inclusive, happy, thriving education. My children want to do their homework. No school is perfect, Buckholme is as close as it gets. If you are worried about how to choose your child’s first school, come visit and see the children.

As a former pupil of Buckholme Towers who spent nine incredibly happy years here, I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the school and it's incredible ethos to education. Class sizes are v. small which means every pupil grows up feeling valued and being individually supported, which allows them to flourish. The school has an incredibly warm, homely feel, whilst also offering outstanding teaching and upholding traditional values. Children spend a great deal of their young life at school at an incredibly important time in defining their personality and approach to education and life, and I won't hesitate for a second to send my own children to Buckholme Towers in the future. An incredibly unique school.

My eldest son is just finishing Year One and my youngest will start Reception in September having attended the school part-time for his pre-school year. Buckholme is a tiny school with a huge heart and my kids feel so safe and happy there. All the teachers and pupils know each other and this helps create the family feel that we all love. We make sacrifices to afford the fees but I can honestly say that it is money well spent. I would 100% recommend Buckholme to anyone who wants their child to receive a unique and tailored education in a truly nurturing environment.

When we were looking at schools for our daughter Buckholme was not our first choice as we are based in Wimborne, resulting in quite a long commute. From the initial visit to today (she will be entering year 2) we can both honestly say we made the right decision and the commute is worth it... The benefit of smal class sizes is obviously a huge advantage and we have watched our little girl develop into a confident, happy child who actually wakes up in the morning and wants to go to school. With a Friendly, unpretentious and caring atmosphere I would highly recommend...
