After a year out of going to gym for covid and motivation was nice to get back... yeah it's changed a little feels a little darker in there. Staff were welcoming and covid controls we obvious so all Good, glad to be back!

They decided that it would be a good use of their time over lockdown to install padlock closures on all of the lockers rather than fix a single piece of equipment. There are 4/5 pieces of equipment that were out of use pre-lockdown and NONE of them have been fixed at all. Maintenance has always been a major issue but you would have thought that they might have got an adjustable spanner out over the last few months. Clearly not. Not sure why they installed the padlock closures either. Having been a member here for 6 years, I have never encountered any problems with the old card closures. Maybe so they can charge 4 for padlocks when members come back without realising they changed things. Couple that with the fact that the showers last about 10 seconds before you have to press the button again (nowhere near enough time to rinse your hair, for example) and the pool area is often overrun with classes, leaving one small lane for anyone else who wants to swim. I’ve cancelled my membership and will never come back.
The staff is very friendly and always helping if needed. This place has improved for the better and also always very clean.
I joined when it was DW and payed extra for the benefit of taking my daughter swimming every Friday. Now it's Everlast and they've told me that I have to buy an extra membership for my daughter, even though my original contract includes family swimming. Emailed the manager and had no response, emailed head office and had no response. In the gym there is no hand sanitiser and nothing to wipe down the machines before you use. Stopped going 2 weeks ago, won't be going back and won't be giving them anymore of my money.
I asked reception staff for a tutorial session as there was some equipment I was not fully confident in using. Reception said that a personal trainer would be in touch. A PT called James then reached out to me. When I enquired about a tutorial, he did not reply: just simply ghosted me. It has been over a month now since writing this. James's behaviour was rude and unprofessional. I sincerely hope that this is not representive of staff culture at this gym.
Needs up dating with some modern machines and pricey for what you get compared to others
