I love this place! You can actually see the pottery being hand painted and finished while also browsing the fantastic site. Deep pockets required for some of the items :-)

Unfortunately the pottery place is now shutting down and they're having a great big sale - up to 60% off. Checked 13th August. Yankee Candle is also discounted with 10% off all items. I recommend trying them out for some bargains
We went there last time a couple of weeks before it closed down. A little part of history based on Poole Quay. Beautiful old style pottery hand painted with inside potter's so you could watch them work. Poole won't be the same without it. So disappointed that it's gone. You can still buy Poole pottery online but it's no longer made in Poole. Now permanently closed forever!!
Nice place with a large selection of home decor not just pottery items. It's also home to a large selection of Denby pottery. On occasion there are also members of staff making objects from clay for you to observe during your shop.
Always worth a look when you are in the area. Besides the studio there is an eclectic mix of other household goods
Poole Pottery was around for many, many over a hundred and so years on the Poole Quay unfortunately it has now closed. Poole Pottery would have to be some of the best pottery in the World. Most of the older pieces were all handpainted by various Artists in residence. You could still get some handpainted items when they closed but it has mainly not practised anymore. Some of the pottery you have in your cupboard are worth holding onto. Poole Pottery will continue from an entirely different part of England no longer in Poole Dorset.
