I have been to the Salterns Harbourside Hotel a few times for wedding but never as a casual visit until last week. As an impromptu "date" with the wife we went down for lunch. The staff were very friendly and with the heat sitting outside was lovely with amazing views of Poole Harbour. We had 2 Salterns Burgers with all the extras and a few drinks for 40 very good prices. We will defiantly be going back there.

Lovely old hotel but has now been demolished.

Great location for a coffee but avoid the sausage sandwich as there was not much sausage and the ciabatta bread was slightly dry because i assume it had been cut for a while. Also menu had no prices. Nice coffee and service was pleasant but food - not worth it.

Friendly staff. Got upgraded to sea view room just out of luck. Facilities were good. Location 10/10. 100% value for money, just need to look out for good deals. Restaurant and breakfast were first class. Would definitely stay here again.

Food very nice. We had a better meal here than at Loch fyne. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes a bit date but very clean . The outside needs a tension.

Great location, great staff nothing was to much trouble. Defiantly deserve more than a 3star hotel. Would highly recommend.

I will start off this review with a positive note regarding this establishment, which is the food. Which is undoubtedly 5 star. The chef/s within the kitchen are very highly trained and know how to cook up an excellent dish. This is about as good as the hotel gets as every other aspect lacks any sufficient level, which you would expect at a 3 star hotel. We waited numerous times for our room service which took 1 hour 30 minute to arrive. Also the orders were sent up incorrectly which becomes a disappointing after two times. The rooms are also not cleaned sufficiently. Which should be protocol number one, during this coronavirus era. Upon making a coffee my mother opened the kettle and was greeted with a bacteria bonanza of fungal limescale. which wasn't very pleasant. Immediately my father rang the reception to fix this and had to deal with a very rude manager called Norman (most likely related to Norman bates from the movie Psycho.. it wouldn't surprise me) and was offered a concession of 30 which quite frankly was taking the **** considering we have stayed in this hotel a few times and have put in a large sum of money into this hotel. After dealing with the "manager" Norman the following morning he was rude again and didn't offer any further concessions for this disgusting behaviour to the guests. We won't be staying at this horror hotel again. If you are interested in staying at this hotel. DONT. You will be very disappointed.
