This is the second time I've had the Sunday lunch and both times it has been superb. Lots of roast beef and lovely vegetables, even the roast potatoes were good and they usually seem to suffer when you get food to bring home. I will definitely keep using the Sunday collection service and look forward to reopening so I can try some other things.

Fabulous venue for a private party. The Cellar Bar is perfect & has a great atmosphere with own bar. The staff were excellent & even sent out for more Prosecco after we drank them dry.
Quite easily the nicest pub in Poole. I've had an amazing boxing day being catered for by Joshua. He's been the most fantastic host, very chatty and friendly. He's been really present and attentive despite all the COVID regs making everything a bit difficult. Very appreciated! Well done Josh and thank you Blue Boar I wish you all the success in the world when the world picks up pace again

Friendly staff. Good choice of Tap, Bottle or optics. Coffee /tea is "a kettle and a jar" Disabled toilet /baby changing room has been out of order for a whole due to "vandals". Lots of Armed Forces and Lifeboat memorabilia on walls adding to the character of the building. Car park structure opposite the pub. The town centre is a short walk away. The Registry Office is across the road. Converted cellar available for private functions.
