Historic Place related to the freedom fighter. This place related to the all those who fought for the Nation independence and sacrifices with their life. Happy to see that government keeps all records and name of all freedom fighter who lives their. Building architecture really appealing. Although, as Indian we have many building & places but we can not denied the intelligence of English engineers.

One of the best places to visit. You get the feel of all the struggle that our freedom fighters would have gone through while they were prisoners over here. Glad to know the entire history. Light and Sound show gave a lot of information.
Historically important place and also very scenic and beautiful at the same time. The tour of cellular Jail is informative and interesting due to the knowledgeable guides present there. A great view of the ocean and neighbouring islands from the top of the cellular Jail. It is perfect for history and architecture buffs. A must visit if you are in Andaman Islands.
The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, was a colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India. The prison was used by the British for the express purpose of exiling political prisoners to the remote archipelago. It is a must visit place if you are visiting Andaman. It has a huge importance in India's independence. Very informative. There is also a light and sound show which used to happen in the evening at an extra charges. Please visit as early as possible as it closes after 5 pm in the Definitely worth visit and I will definitely recommend it to others.
Very good place. Saw the cellular jail and the light show. Hire a guide for cellular jail to enjoy the most as they will give information as well as click your photos as well. Outside the jail is Veer Savarkar park where you can have snacks and clicks photos. Overall a good place. Attaching some pictures.
This is a fabulous venue loaded with history and information about the struggle of the Indian Freedom fighters! The Cellular jail offers guided walking tours through the compound giving you a flash of the history behind the walls of the jail. You can witness the work stations, cells, execution area etc.. It's a good reminder of the struggle our freedom fighters took to attain freedom from the British Rule. Also you must attend the light and sound show which is after sunset, offered in Hindi and English. A must visit in Port Blair.
The jail is now a museum which shows the sacrifice of Indian freedom fighters. It is well maintained and light and sound show at night is fabulous!! Must watch show.
