Good collections of statue, ornaments, jewellery, sarees and many.. With comfortable price as this is a Government shop..

Government run place to buy original PEARLS, shells, conch, shell jewellery, ornament ear rings, wooden toy, souvenir etc. Near radhanagar, Kala patthar beach you can also buy these items. Big price difference was there ,almost for pearls 1/3 rd. Then locals said better to go with Sagarika as there are chances of getting cheated with original PEARLS quality.

Good emporium and shopping complex for pearls and handicrafts items and souvenirs. Position is good and centrally located on road side. It is easily noticeable from outside. Cotton made clothing items are also available here. Being a Government emporium they offer discounts almost on every items which invites confusion to the customers as a whole. It should be more better to fix the rates for every items after adjusting the discounted price. Although it has to believe that the quality and standard of the items are up to the standard and best price is offering from the Government Emporium. Still it was noticed that the prices of the same items, wherever available, is with less price in some other private shops or stalls through out Andaman specially at different private shops at Neil Island and the Bharatpur Beach. Even the adjacent private shops of Sagarika are offering less price on some items. One more tension and confusion always ring in the mind whether Airport Security of Port Blair will allow the items to carry or not. Very often it is heard that the security authority of Port Blair is not allowing passengers to fly with the articles bought from Andaman and the passengers have to leave the souvenirs in the airport even if they have valid cash memo. Government as well as the emporium authority should ascertain their best to solve the problem or mystery do that every customer may buy the desired items freely and without any tension.

A must visit if taking home souvenirs is part of one's travel traditions. Aptly priced items with a huge variety of collection is made available at this government run emporium. For those accompanying people with lesser interest, there are a couple of benches to sit and relax too if in the evening. They accept cards too without a fuss which is also a plus point I would consider.

I'd been to this place on my visit to Port Blair. I would recommend everyone to visit as the cost of materials anyone would purchase quite reasonable and of good quality. I purchased items that filled in a big carton but costed only 4k. The staff is very well behaved and you'd find all decorative items - key chains, ladies hair clutch, nail paints, shankh, wall hangings, clocks etc. Most of the items are made of natural sea shells. The wood work pieces were of really very good quality and all of them have beautiful natural colours hence none of the items have paint. They have only been waxed to give shine and carved to required depths.

The store under government system. There are different vendors all in their stalls selling mostly articles made from sea shells. Some of them have unique articles to sell like Wood and other products other than wood or shell. In majority all have similar articles to sell. Compared to market the products are reasonably priced with no bargain. In market the article is highly priced and you are expected to negotiate and often end up purchasing higher and.uch expensive than this govt. shop. The shop is good if you are not looking for some really expensive and exquisite article. For everything else like general decorate articles or gift articles like necklace, earrings or other products of sea shells.
