One of the famous Landing centre in Port Blair. A variety of fresh fish are available here. Different types of boats and fishing vessels are seen here. One can buy fish from here directly or from the fish market near it. A good place for understanding and studying about the varieties of fishes and equipments used for fishing.

Junglighat landing centre is One of the famous landing centre of Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar islands inaugurated by Lt governor Lt general (Retd.) Bhopinder singh on 2007. It is having all the facility like Indian outlet diesel outlet for fuel filling, loudspeaker for the announcements regarding warning, Parking lot, generator, water storage tank, Ice, pump house, various net mending shed, toilet block, work shop, landing centre office. Fishing vessels with various gears and facility for storage are landed here after the catch. From here all the fishery products are transported to one of the near fish market in Janglighat.

In Junglighat fish landing site you can find Different type of Fishing boats like Mechanised boat, non Mechanised boats, for catching different types of fishes under capture fisheries, this is one of main landing sites of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, you can find number of fishing nets here and there, You can meet fishermen for buying fishes directly and you'll get fresh fish from them. Fishes are landed or you can say unloaded from the boats early in the morning around 3-30/4:00 AM, so if you are willing to buy fish then reach here you can get the fresh fish on the spot.
