Port Blair has many jetties, but this is one of the main ones and probably the most beautiful sporting a running track, small restaurant, water sports, area, a park and aquarium. The complex is named after Rajiv Gandhi who was the then Prime Minister on his visit to the Islands in 1986 On one side of the Jetty there is also a statue of Rajiv Gandhi throwing a garland into the sea. Home of a very busy Aberdeen Jetty with lots of boats, ferries, cruises and thousands of people making use of it to visit either North Bay, Ross Island or Viper Island or other cruises including Jet Skiing, etc. During the day or the evening when it becomes even more picturesque, the place has a very relaxing feeling. It is very clean and well maintained with many benches to sit and just take a break. Good for walking or just jogging. Very visible from here is both Ross Island and North Bay.
