This property is at a very good location in Port Blair. It is overlooking the sea, the market and other important locations are not very far from here, however You will need a vehicle to get around. The property has many rooms overlooking the sea, so make sure which room you are booking. The rooms with sea facing are an excellent choice. The hotel also has its own restaurant overlooking the sea. However many people find the service of the hotel very poor, and have mentioned in numerous sites regarding this. I would like to add by saying yes we too had a poor experience in terms of service inside and outside the rooms. However knowing this we some how managed to work around this issue and managed to get our way around. We made sure we were consistent and persistent in what we wanted, double checked with the staff in what we wanted and kept our expectations low. We weren't much disappointed. We were compensated by the kindness of the staff who were willing to help us in any way. I am sure people are looking for a luxurious experience staying at this property but it was not so bad. The overall experience was good as far as we were concerned!

I stayed in bay island hotel by welcome group in the month of April 21. I had a great experience The hotel is excellently located in the heart of port Blair. The sea view from hotel is absolutely amazing. The food was very good. The best part of my stay was the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and courteous. All in all my stay was very memorable. I would like to visit again and again. I will also recommend this place to my near and dear ones.

In one word - NO. The only good thing about this hotel is the view that their sea facing rooms offer. Apart from that, the whole experience is terrible. Right from check-in, the staff is slow and uninterested. They are not receptive to any comments or feedback. On one end they portray themselves as a five star property but nothing here reflects that. Our room was quite small and not clean. Toiletries were provided for one despite having booked the room for two people. Had to ask twice to even have water sent to the room. If you are looking for a comfortable stay at Port Blair, this is not the place to be. The breakfast spread was quite limited and they even forgot part of our order. Upon enquiring after 40 minutes, they started passing the blame amongst each other instead of giving us the food. We had to cancel it since we couldn't wait any longer. Please also note that they do not have a travel desk or hotel transportation, and if you require one, they will ask you to negotiate rates with the driver and completely wash off all responsibility from their hands. Never going back to this hotel again.

Excellent staff and good location. The hospitality provided by Ms.Georgina at the reception was very good. Overall I recommend a stay at WH Port Blair. No other hotel offers the kind of view that this hotel does.

The hotel is at a great location and the setup is fine. The staff need to be better trained and faster. They were giving me a double bed room for a 3 head booking and provided the extra bed only when debated. Kitchen is good

We stayed for a night here. A classy, pleasant hotel and you will forget yourself having a relaxing coffee on the restaurant foyer or the bar area, looking at the beautiful bay with a nice sea breeze blowing into your face. The rooms are neat, although, slightly small. We booked and got a sea view room but didn't get one with a balcony(a small one).. The allotment might be random. Food is good, staff is friendly but during the covid times while checking in they will make you sign a ton of documents.. The rooms are spread out , so if you are a large party you might not all get rooms in the same block. There was also no lift but one was in construction.. The road to the hotel is uphill and through narrow lanes but reachable by all vehicles. Close to all main tourist attractions but 6kms from the Corbyn beach..

Few things which is actually make this place a better and preferable to stay is firstly the location of this place which in the main center of the city everything is very near this hotel, secondly view from the room and hotel such a breathtaking sea view another thing I love about this hotel is the location of the bar of the hotel at the sea side open view with the cool sea breeze and drinks in your hand that feels great. Only drawback of the hotel is service is little bit slow at hotel sometimes reception didn't respond to the calls. Overall you should definitely stay at the hotel as it is in the prime location and giving the best view.

Just for name sake its ITC , had to wait for soo long just fir check-in. Also the place was full of mosquitoes. Had to ask for mosquitoes repellent. Though this hotel has an excellent location and is on the hill top. Overall the view from their restaurant was soo mesmerizing .You must avoid staying at this property because their hospitality was really poor.
