It was a great experience, relaxed, friendly and informative. Everyone in the program is very nice and make people feel comfortable. I have been a patient of Dr. Hanson's for several years now and have been very satisfied with the care she gives, her knowledge of the latest info on Diabetes. I trust her with my diabetes care so much that I decided to stay with her as my doctor even when she closed her Venice, FL office and it meant I would have to make a half hour drive to my appointments. She and her staff are the best!!! I called to make an appointment to see a doctor. The girl that answered the phone was rude and everything I said to her she paid no attention and completely shut me down after i said I was not a patient. I am new to the area and to say the least not impressed. She said she would call me back after she looked at the schedule and here we are two full days later and no call. Very disappointed.

My visit with Dr. Hanson was very good....she has to stay around for \Old Guys Like Me\. She always makes me feel better just by keeping me up to date on new things and always explaining things so that I can understand them. Sandra of course is also a bonus. Thanks for taking care of me. She may be great for diabetes care, but for thyroid care? Not so much. I went in for thyroid care after my 9 year old daughter's thyroid cancer diagnosis. She wrote an rx for an ultrasound which showed a nodule. She decided to check them in her office with her own ultrasound. She claimed she couldn't even find my thyroid and said all I had was neck muscle. No thyroid. No nodules. She told me there was nothing to worry about and I was just overly concerned because of my daughter. I felt like something wasn't right and went to another doctor who saw not one, but two nodules, along with my complete thyroid. Biopsies were done and four weeks ago I had a total thyroidectomy which confirmed our suspicion. Thyroid cancer. If I would've taken Dr Hanson's word and her findings on my ultrasound, I would've totally missed finding out I had cancer. It just makes me wonder how many others are completely misdiagnosed.... If you have thyroid issues, beware seeing her!

I was greeted with a smile and hello Miss Jeanette. You feel welcome when you are recognized and greeted. Then I was greeted by Connie, a nurse who has been with Dr. Hanson for many years and the usuals were done. Meds were renewed and my medical problems voiced, labs gone over and an introduction to Dr. Hanson's new associate, Dr. Vega. I liked her but she is new to me and will have to get to know her better and she has to get to know me as well as staff does. I've been with Dr. Hanson for over 16 years and change is hard for me but I think it will be fine with future visits. This is a great office.
