We had originally booked to come here in May for my wife’s birthday as we had been to Nathan’s fish kitchen a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was cancelled. I was a little apprehensive due to enjoying Nathan’s fish kitchen so much but it certainly delivered . My wife had the crab , apple and kohlrabi salad to start which was tasty but beautifully delicate in flavour and I had the crispy lemon sole with pickled vegetables and chilli mayonnaise which I found amazing, just the right amount of spice and pickling and both were generous portions for starters I thought. For mains my wife had the bass with bacon and nut dressing with mashed potato , the combination of the fish bacon and nut dressing were delicious. I had the spiced monkfish with curried lentils and cauliflower salad which again was delicious , very nicely spiced and cooked to perfection. As for the desserts ( I’m not much of a dessert person ) were to die for . I had the rhubarb orange and almond tart which a great combination of flavours and although sweet had a beautiful slight bitter flavour ( I think from the orange zest ). My wife had the passion fruit pannacotta , blackberries and short bread which could only be described as perfection on a plate ! . Service was excellent and all COVID-19 rules and distancing were followed . A great experience and view from the restaurant would have been stunning but no one can control the weather , it would be wonderful with a good sunset ( but we did have a good laugh at peoples attempts to park in the car park below ) If you like fish this is the restaurant for you

The best fish I have ever eaten. If you come definitely order the whole John Dory. The service was good, prompt, and friendly. Food was generally very good but the fish served most simply was the best of all. Book ahead to get a table if you are visiting the area

Service was exceptional. Food was tasty but lacked the wow factor you'd expect for 2 Michelin stars and a 150 price range (for 2 people, 3 courses and wine). Would like to have tried the full menu or at least a choice of 2 or 3 dishes but understand the constrains the pandemic has brought. We had a good night, thank you.

Very good service, delicious food. I was surprised that we had cheap paper napkins & had to pour our own wine considering it is a michelin starred restaurant. Apart from that a very tasty and well presented dinner. Wish we had gone for lunch instead so that we could have taken in the views.

An amazing lunch on Wednesday 4th. A beautiful setting in a picture window looking out over Port Isaac Bay to a (unusually) clear blue sky. A no choice menu but that wasn’t an issue as everything was delicious and beautifully presented - a seafood menu at its best. We are it all with gusto and will be back.
