Went camping with some friends at Pacheedat summer of 2020 and camped in the overflow on the beach and it was amazing. Woke up to the sunrise and the sound if the ocean on the beach and watched the sun go down on the beach. There is lots of room to have distance from other campers. Had a blast and can't wait to go again! Also be prepared for no cell service or wifi unless you go to the camp office. Also just up the road there are stores and gas station. Payphone requires a credit card to use.

Great place to go if you want to camp out next to the ocean

Really rustic. Really magical. We were camped in the overfill area. It was great. Waves were incredible. Great beachcombing. Great fishing. The town is really close by. Good little area, I'd definitely go back. Oh - no internet access unless you are at the office, and I think you have to buy it. There was no cell reception at my camp site.

Love this place! Dog friendly and a sweet spot for kayaking/paddleboarding

Best beach around! Not very busy in the off season...

I have been going to this campsite for probably 20 years or more. One of my favorite places on Earth. In the winter time the sun drops out in the middle of the inlet. And the summertime it sets way behind the hill near Jordan River. Very friendly and helpful staff. Things have most certainly changed out there over the years. But I believe it's for the better. Great spot to begin a kayaking Adventure. Up the Jordan River, or the San Juan River. You could paddle up either side of the inlet, and find private little beaches. This is a 6-star spot for sure!

Beautiful spot! Beach walking for days and spacious campsites with a nice sized buffer between neighbours. We had our axe stolen but accidentally left it out during a walk so be cautious about leaving items unsecured!

OK this is going to be as constructive as possible - We turned up to this campground at 9.15pm on a Friday night on a summers weekend - not having booked... we couldn't get hold of the office, so we pitched up on an available site - (there were a few in a row open) I know that some people have wrote on here that they couldn't contact the office, but I met a family that managed to call, book and call again a couple other times to confirm adding on tents to their site... I believe it has a lot to do with the time of day - this place has no cell reception so if the camp owner isn't in the main office, and is doing the rounds you wont be able to get hold of them - So just keep trying - I would guess 9am - 11am would be best, when they arrive at the office. So other than that, we managed to get in but had to move the next day, because the site was booked that we had pitched up on in the dark... they moved us to a 'half site' literally one across from where we pitched, there were 4 of us and 2 tents. It seemed it was pointless having us move into that really tiny space when only one really small tent arrived to pitch up where we had moved from... and they had an extra 'half space' next to us... anyway, we were happy they were OK with us just pitching up in the night... we stayed for 2 nights. The campsite and the facilities are OK - standard pit toilets, they don't have bear proof garbage, the crows were pulling out all the trash that they could in the morning, but the staff cleaned them out a few times while we were there, including the pit toilets. The BEST part about this campground is that the views and surrounding areas are beautiful!! I would recommend this place :) and will most definitely be going back.
