Popped in here on our way home for a quick coffee and breakfast not expecting too much and was really pleasantly surprised. The coffee was one of the best I've had in a LONG time! food and service good too.

We ate here after completing the Juan de Fuca Trail. I had a hotdog and my bf had the whale burger. The whale burger had so much meat in it, but it seemed really satisfying to eat after having only eating freeze dried food for a few days. The owner was super nice and made us feel really welcomed. We signed the guest book they leave by the window! Great food and great service- we will see you again when we come back to do the West Coast Trail )

Nice and easy eating. The beef dip is delicious. The vegetarian chill is ok. People are friendly and they have free water & coffee.

Don’t waste your time. The “service” we received (i. e. being completely ignored) was appalling. Go anywhere else but here...Wandered in to the deserted cafe to see two cooks busy at the grill and a cashier counting cash at the counter. One of the cooks gave us a menu but warned “we are out of a lot of things.” We decided on our order and stood directly in front of the counter while the cashier carried on counting cash. We waited about five minutes but there was absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence, no eye contact, no smile, no “sorry I’ll be done in a second.” Just head down with a grim face slowly counting 5 bills. Atrocious service. We went to the Renfrew Pub and had a delicious lunch served by friendly staff instead.
