A beautiful day out. Ample parking at reasonable rates. A wide selection of well marked trails depending on your level of fitness. Mountain bikes, walkers and dogs are all welcome at the family friendly park and there really is something for everyone. With a cafe and bike shop near the car park too.

Brilliant experience with our year 6 class, who loved the way the miners spoke about their time working underground. Highly recommend for a school outing but also lovely for a family visit. The coffee shop was lovely too with polite and helpful staff and a delicious selection.

Wonderful service in the cafe. Great selection of food for everyone. Always nice to see because I'm a vegetarian. Great prices too. Well worth a visit. We went walking and finished off there on their lovely, comfy sofa. Bliss

Great day out with the boys! Eric our guide was very knowledgeable being an ex miner himself. Did not use the cafe facilities but looked lovely

Tiny museum. Takes a maximum of 5 minutes to walk around. Entry fee was extortionate for what was on offer. Do not bother visiting.
