Portage is an amazing place and a stellar dining experience! The food is outstanding and the view is second to none. They are doing such a great job during COVID; eat on the patio or get takeout as soon as you can!

We ate at the portage house in Jeff tonight. Google says they are take out only but they are open for dine in as well. I had the salmon and my fiancé had the Greek meatloaf. They were both served with mashed potatoes. We ate too quickly for pictures What a wonderful local spot. For a 50 meal it was the best I’ve had in a while. Beth, the server was very sweet and helpful! The food hot every note, the sauce is perfect with the potatoes. We are so excited to be able to support this local restaurant!

The Portage House is a quaint old house that's been turned into a restaurant. I had a burger and honestly it wasnt that great. But this isnt the place to come for a burger anyway. My friend had the shrimp and grits. I had a taste and it was a winner. Some beautiful views of the river. Charming place.

What a gem! Fantastic restaurant on the river with breathtaking views. It is a beautifully restored home with a quaint dining area and full bar. Food was first class. Got the Brussel sprouts and goat cheese appetizers and pulled pork sandwich. A must see if visiting the area!
