I've always walked past this place thinking it didn't look like much, being right opposite the train station but was so pleasantly surprised - it's a great pub! Host seating, lots of space outside to observe those lockdown tiers, but a really good size inside too, all with a one way system in place. Friendly table service, decent prices - definitely impressed and will be back!

Next to taxi rank, next to the station it’s not quite a destination for a night out or a date. But if you’re inside you can easily forget this. It compares to a Wetherspoons with perhaps slightly worse decor (brick-effect wallpaper) but the good bits too - ample space to sit, move around and generous condiments. Food is quick and efficient but make sure you have a table number even if it looks empty and a plate of chips is small. Drinks are the usual affair, a good mix of ales with fair prices.

'The porter' is the spot, whether just coming off the train or as you pass through E.Croydon it's a great venue, pool table, music and friendly vibes.. win win

Where to start... Maybe the horrible atmosphere, the awful karaoke or poor selection of beers. Well, it would have been nice to have had a beer to soak up the 'sights' however even this took 50 mins to arrive (still waiting).

The restaurant is great and broad, the menu was delightful and the prices were very inexpensive. rapidly, productive service and very amiable waiters. I highly recommend this place.
