It's a real pity this is now a pay and display car park, especially when there is plenty of free parking on the adjacent road. Payment is between 1000 and 1630 Monday to Sunday. The car park still has a view over the harbour and gives access to walks along the coast towards black rock, which are must do walks. You can also walk through to Porthmadog. And the fee isn't too excessive!!!

Great views if there's a space. Very popular picnic stop in the summer and on sunny days throughout the year. We stop by for dinner in the car looking out across the estuary towards Harlech. Loos are handy too. Pop into the Big Rock cafe in Porthmadog for a snack and bring it here. Just 2 mins from the town by car or a 15 minute walk through the boat yard.
