Not easy to find in tourist guides, but definitely worth visiting! It has quite a big collection of well preserved historic trams and clearly presents the history of public transport in Porto. This is interesting not only for transportation fans, but also for ice things\ lovers. Hint: if you buy a tram ticket (line number one), you got 30% discount.

Tram museum housed in an old electrical generating plant. Kids will like climbing in old trams. Shows the progression of tram styles used in Porto over the years. The old electrical apparatus on the second floor is very interesting. Nicely preserved building. Catch the old scenic trams out front.
It is a museum which deserves to be guided by a technical person. Impressive collection of machines in a state of presentation exceptional. The first floor was the machine room for this former electrical power generation plant. There the state of conservation is also very good. But I would have liked to see one of the huge machinery (turbo-alternator) we can see on the photos. I would have liked to see also some comments more technical and historical on the evolution of the machinery to convert AC into DC and how control was operated Despite these comments, I did enjoy and I highly recommend. To see.
Incredibly beautiful museum located in a historical power plant. 2 floors: bottom floor has refurbished trans, and top floor has preserved electrical machinery. Spent an hour here, and really enjoyed our visit.
Fascinating display of not only trams, but the supporting power generation required, all in the original warehouse depot. Truly amazing! A little pricey at 8 euros entry, or 5.60 if you have a tram ticket?? There's a coffee machine in the gift shop, 25c per cup,!!
Very good restored tramcars, impressive power station building. Very friendly staff.
A cozy and detailed museum of the local tram company. Trams shown detailed rail history of Porto and the info for each one is concise and on point. Some exibition are interactive and all can be touched, photographed and posed with. Second floor is a great historical power station, most amazingly preserved and detailed. Greatly enjoy the atmosphere and trams present. The place is right next to the actual deposit if going trams, so you can also see them in action and talk to the drivers.
Great place. Inexpensive, with nice staff and well maintained pieces. You can even board the trams in exposition to get the full experience of what traveling on them would be like.
